Of course today we would find it hokey, or even laugh at such, but back then it was extremely scary. Tales from the Cript, X-files, Outer limits (old and new versions), twilight zone...we would also watch the lawernce welk show for laughs and dancing. My parents split when I was very young and I spent the summer week days with my father, grandmother and aunt to save on babysitting fees. Grandma was huge on horror and thriller stuff. Cujo was one of her favorite books back then. Let me tell you, she had boxes and boxes of such novels all piled up in her closet and one wall of her bedroom.
