Possible Evidence

Dark Phoenix

Greetings all,

For those of you who enjoy the show on the SciFi channel called Ghost Hunters (I am a HUGE fan), in the episode I have posted (only part of it) TAPS is in my ancestral homeland of Ireland!! The even more exciting part is that they may have evidence of elementals!! Watch and let me know what ya think!!

Joe

In my opinion, typically a "ghost" is pretty harmless other than annoying, scaring or startling the living. Elementals, on the other hand, can be tricky, harmful, unpredictable and down right mean.

Ah, I remember that eposide from this past late spring/early summer. (Love the show, too. Never miss one if I can help it.) If I recall correctly, they intentionally entered a fairy ring were they were told locals never went and witnessed "sensations", then filmed small points of light moving in the trees and disappearring. Great episode.

I like to believe they are true professionals and haven't doctored their experiences.

There's a guy in town that used to be a cameraman with TAPS. I've been discussing ideas with him as far as making things easier to differentiate. For instance, ghosts drain batteries. It's one of the most commonly described phenomena. So why not just suffuse that area with EM radiation, like a rotating magnet? Will that give them the energy they need to manifest? Why do cold spots form? If they're trying to condense water in the air to form an apparition using the mist, what happens if you spray a cold spot with a plant mister? If they're drawing IR radiation and feeding on it, what happens if you put a hand warmer in that spot? There's a bunch of things that we've thought of, I just need to start making things.:jerk:

As far as I can tell no. I go with him if he's going back to a place to continue an investigation. I've got a few sketches of designs to put together (if anyone's interested, as soon as I can get them on the computer they're welcome to try them out as long as you let me know what the results are), but I haven't had the materials to put them together.

A friend of mine through a body modification forum's husband is a cell tower technician, and apparently he sees an inordinate amount of apparitions (once every 6 months or so) at a cell tower near a cemetary, so I'm wondering if ghosts are able to feed off of the energy coming from the tower. Unfortunately, the frequencies are proprietary, but there's technology that can record those emissions. It might be worth me investing the money when I can, but that's not right now.

I've also been trying to figure out residual hauntings (the mindless, repetitive ghosts that are the most commonly reported). Are they the same event happening once in multiple time frames, or are they recordings in the residual energy of an area? There are a few more ideas, but those two are the most probable (at this point, I think).

There's an excellent book that I use for a lot of reference material on this type of thing. It's called "The Handbook of Parapsychology," and applies scientific scepticism to paranormal activity. Lots of good statistical data about everything from spirit photography to poltergeist activity. Hopefully I'll be able to do some more specific experimentation soon, but I just don't have the time... unfortunately.

I've got a few designs that I want to see in action... Unfortunately, some of them, while relatively easy to set up, are also REALLY expensive.

One of them floods an area with EM radiation by spinning electromagnets at a high rate of rotation (moving magnet=electrical field). I realize this may screw up other electronics in the area a certain amount, but you can tune the frequency by adjusting the rate of spin of the magnets to not interfere as much and make energy transfer easier. There's another that uses parabolic EM sensors to triangulate positions of EM spikes rather than just "oh, there's a spike somewhere." Some, like the plant mister and hand warmer, are easy to do. Then I've been looking at different film chemicals that are sensitive to different EM spectra, or tuning a CCD (digital camera) to those frequencies. Once I get some experimental data I can refine the ideas. Until then...
