When I'm depressed by dreadful skies
Your eyes bring sunshine to my life
When all hopes and plans go down the drain
Your courage inspires me to try once again
Even though pain and sickness has come
I will not cower, nor cringe nor run
Together we'll face life's daily fares
Though yours is too much for just one to bare
Come joy or sorrow, good times or bad
You are the best mother one could e'er hope to have
And when in death from this earth you flee
A part of your soul will stay me ~My poem to my mother during the last year of her life.
