Well since there's not many Traditional Witchcraft resources out there to help us and considering there's a lot of knowledge here at TW...

Why not offer like miniature courses consisting of teachers and individual course forums for subjects like herbology, knot magic, etc...??

I know we'd probably need more resources, but it is just a suggestion...

Eh, I come here for relaxation and fun, and to interact with other witches, not to officially teach.

I don't mind answering questions and having discussions though. :D

Teaching here?? Nope, never. The only way this could ever happen is if people would like to offer this privately in the Meet Up forum, but teaching is not what this site is about, in fact it will ruin it.

I think the discussion of the differences between Traditional Witchcraft and Wicca are also going to highlight how the Traditional Witches think and practice Traditional Witchcraft.

I don't want this post to come across as being bitchy but the bottom line is that there are very few traditional witches or books around to teach. I have more wiccan books in my house than the Pope has bibles. I take and use from each one what works for me and leave the rest alone. There is a section here that lists every possible book imaginable about witchcraft. When I first found this site, I spent days reading the prior posts. Talk about teaching and learning. I studied for years but it wasn't until I started actively practicing and using the Craft in my every day life that it became alive within me. Yes that the secret! Its inside YOU! If you are truly meant to follow the path, you instinctively know where to walk. I'm going to repeat a warning that Sandy has stated many times (including to me). Once you open that door, it is not anything like what you imagine it to be. If you think you are going to just go around casting spells and making everything go your way, you are in a for a major surprise. There are trade-offs for the knowledge and the abilities the powers and guides grant you. There is a price to pay and you better be ready to pay it. The Craft is not a hobby like pottery class. Its the very way you live your life. Its who you are. Who you become. I have made a very informed and conscious choice to continue down the path because its my destiny. While I believe this site is truly a bridge that is meant to be here for those wanting to cross over, you have to know what you are crossing over to.

As i've never had a teacher I don't think you particularly need one as it is an instinctual path. That said I see nothing wrong with teaching your personal trad if someone wants to learn it.
The thing is when i see "witch school .com " or whatever hawking their wares I run a mile and would hate to see this website ridiculed.
By all mean pm me with any questions or just post them up ;)

hehehehe If we ever start teaching {yes I know it will never happen } please dont put Anjel in charge of corporeal punishment ! Love you mate but theres no way in hell you're coming near me with a besom :shock::shock::shock::shock: Run away !!!
seriously I think theres enough how to bits in here and maybe we could have one or two specialised chat sessions if there are people particularly wanting to ask about stuff but standardised teaching potentially opens up a whole new set of issues
