The Witch's wine.

Hi everybody, that's my first post giving you a traditional recipe of wine so please be nice to me  :lolol:

The witches that want to keep their husbants calm and relaxed after a stressful day use to make this wine. It helps to ease the pressure of the day, raise the mood and even raise the sexual tense.

You just need:

1 litre of red dry wine (not to be too sweet)

1 handfull of myrtle (dried leaves and parts of the plant, not the roots)

and some honey.

First you warm up your wine without boiling it, when it's hot enough pure the myrtle in and let it stay for about 15minutes. After that filter the myrtle and pure some honey to make it sweet, the amount is up to you and your partner's preference. And that's it. You can serve it warm or cold and you can keep it for about a month in your refrigarator.

Well I have to give a notice that it's quite strong and one small glass of wine is enough but you can drink as much as you like.

I hope you like it! Cheers!

Sounds yummy . . .

Of course, the lore assumes that the Witch is female, which is not necessarily the case.  Would the wine produce the same effect, if the Witch is a male, giving it to his wife to ease the stress of a long day?  Many times, my work day is 10 times as stressful, as my husband's.  :witch_bounce:

Myrtle was sacred to the Greek Goddess Venus (Aphrodite) and has been used in love charms and spells. Aphrodite is often shown wearing a myrtle-leaf wreath on her head and the myth goes on to the Roman ages. And English myth says that myrtle will not grow unless is planted by a woman. So as you can see is all about love and beauty. Jevne is not only for the males so you can drink it too with your husband ;)

You don't really need anything else Orin but you can try something new if you like. Allow me to suggest you some orange powder (pulverize the skin of a couple of oranges they sall give a more orange like but also sweet taste).

RavenFlyer myrtle is used a lot in the kitchen too. In Crete people put it in the oil to give a special taste and aroma to the olive oil. The leaves of myrtle have spicy, astringent, and bitter taste with an orange-like aroma (in this recipe it gives a spicy and warm taste and rich aroma, this wine is not bitter because of the honey, if you like bitter drinks you can avoid adding the honey) . It's amazing for the meat too if you want to try it. The medicinal properties vary of the part of the plant, the berries are anticeptical and the leaves relieve gingivitis and sinusitis.

I'm not reffering to the lemon myrtle, the lemon myrtle is more like lemon like, you can also use lemon myrtle for this recipe. I have never tried it so if you do let me know!
