Hawthorn jelly/jam

Just a quick Recipe for Haw jam.

For about 3 lbs of fruit crush and add 3 cups of water

bring to boil then let it simmer. Strain all the seeds and pulp

1 lemon and about 7 cups of sugar. Taste if more is needed add more

Put back into pan and boil it again. Enjoy!

Rory, are we canning this or freezing this ?  How many pints does this make ?

Lol ... fucked if i know Haahaaaa I just put mine in glass jars. If its too funny we use it as a cordial/squash. If it turns out right about two jars for scones or toast nice in hot porridge..

Haaahaaaaaaa. I don't measure anything usually I just am so used to doing it. Even my bread just throw it all in mix it up and let it do its thing. Must say i do make good bread lol and pasta.

Can a person actually use measurements in making bread?  What if it is a damp day or a dry one?   

 

Anyway, thanks for the hawthorn jelly recipe.  That would probably  be good for the heart as hawthorn is know for relaxing the blood vessels.  It looks good.
