Ive just ordered the Joyce Froome book "A history of the Pendle Witches & there magick: Wicked Enchantments"   

Just wondering If anyonces read this ? A friend recommended it to myself and just thought id ask you good folk :)

I have read about them, not this book tho. I believe that as always most were not witches. If memory servers me right. It has become a tourist thing. I could be totally wrong and have confused with this with something else regarding two families. May be worthy of a read let us know!!

I picked this book up recently and was surprised at how much I liked it.  The book is easy enough to read and really goes into the local folk customs as well as what various people were accused of, etc.  I thought it was quite worth the read and would recommend it.  It's well researched and the bibliography has pointed me towards a couple of new books that I'm trying to get my hands on as well.  Common Crow, if you're able I'd say pick it up and give it a go.  :)
